Anxiety Treatment

Hope and Healing Are Here

What Is Anxiety?

Anxiety is healthy to experience on a small scale, but it may be time to seek treatment if you are experiencing intense, excessive episodes.

Clinical anxiety is characterized by a crippling fear that makes it hard to complete tasks in day-to-day life. Other symptoms of anxiety include restlessness, irritability, muscle tension, excessive worrying, difficulty concentrating, and depression.

At Restoring Wellness Solutions, we know how debilitating this condition can be. That’s why we are committed to treating our patients’ symptoms and the underlying condition.

Social Anxiety Disorder

Social anxiety disorder is a mental health condition that makes it difficult to function in a social setting. People with this condition will often avoid leaving the house, large crowds, and find it difficult to do common things, like eat or drink in front of others. If left untreated, this condition can quickly become debilitating, disrupting one’s ability to function in day-to-day life due to feeling embarrassed, self-conscious, and hyperaware of others around you.

Separation Anxiety Disorder

Separation anxiety disorder is a condition that often stems from childhood. In children, it can cause feelings of extreme panic when away from a parent, or home in general. In teens and adults, it can cause intense duress when away from home and loved ones. Someone with separation anxiety disorder often worries that something bad will happen to them or someone close if they are seperated, or feel as though they have no control over the things happening around them. It can also cause physical symptoms if left untreated, such as frequent headaches, stomach pains, repeating nightmares that affect one’s sleep, and chronic pain.

Panic Disorder

Panic disorder involves repeating attacks or episodes of intense panic and fear. It brings on feelings of impending doom, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, and chest pain. The triggers for these attacks are specific to the person, but it can be anything from social settings, driving on the interstate, or worrying for the well-being of loved ones. The attacks typically appear without warning, which can quickly make day-to-day life debilitating. Symptoms of a panic attack commonly include dizziness, chest pain, sense of danger, sweating, trembling, etc. Occasionally, panic attacks can be brought on by the fear of having a panic attack. Panic disorder rarely goes away on it’s own. Restoring Wellness Solutions can help you find the stepping stones you need to overcome your fears.

How Ketamine Can Help with Anxiety

At Restoring Wellness Solutions, we take a holistic approach and make it our mission to put our patients’ needs first. We work with you to determine the treatment plan that best serves you and your needs, based on your unique symptoms and situation.

“Ketamine can play an important role in the treatment of anxiety disorders,” according to Prakash Masand, MD, of Centers of Psychiatric Excellence (COPE). There are many different types of treatments available for anxiety disorders.

These include psychotherapy to SSRI’s to even acupuncture, herbs, and supplements. For many patients, these treatments aren’t effective in reducing their symptoms. For these patients, ketamine infusion therapy may be a viable option.
